Today I started feeling out the vibe of group work with the kids that come to KYK. It was a little crazy, but the kids already wanted to sign up for my Expressive Art Workshop! Yeah! I prompted the kids to draw their family doing something fun in the summer. I wanted to get some general background information on these kids. The kids were explaining to me about their big dad and small dad. I'm not exactly sure what that means. They said their big dad is in Pakistan, and their small dad is here... Is that like... his biological dad is in Pakistan, and his small dad is his dad that takes care of him in Hong Kong? I'm thinking they directly translated the terms to English... But does big dad and small dad really mean?
Here are some drawings I collected! It's interesting to analyze the details of these family drawings...
Thai green curry with chicken! Yum!
My collection of chips I will be snacking on the next few weeks.
