Day Six

Well, I completely missed all the Dragon Boat Racing festivities this past weekend. The rain was not my friend. I did have a pretty good shopping day yesterday. I was introduced to Kwai Chung Plaza. It reminded me of all the underground shopping I miss in SKorea. I was planning to go to the underground shopping in Seongnam, but the clothes and shoes are way cheaper here in Hong Kong. Some of the things were claimed to be from SKorea and Japan, but they were cheaper than what I'd find them for in SKorea or Japan. Must go shopping there again!!

My late lunch and dinner.
Mi Wonton with soup on the side. Numbing spicy noodles.

Super awesome Minion cotton candy!!!

Day six of my internship was slightly productive. Researching articles and assessments has helped me narrow down what I would like to focus my study on for the summer. If only more kids came to visit KYK, I would like to get to know them more. The kids that did come in today didn't want to talk to me. This whole language barrier thing makes things difficult. The inconsistency of the traffic also makes it difficult to really get to know the kids in the neighborhood. I visited the kindergarten from last week again. And this time I was able to see them learn how to write in Chinese. Chinese is a difficult language to read and write.
